In other news, U.S. immigration officials reported the detainment of a travel magazine editor for trying to smuggle through a butler in his luggage.

We deliver. After one too many nights torn between Chinese takeout and fajitas, an exasperated Aeromexico official decided to launch an additional Mexico City-Shanghai route that would make both of these options readily available. Customers are advised to order early.

The path to enlightenment. American Airlines, whose leadership has recently been overthrown by a Buddhist junta, is now offering passengers a five-step path to more redeemable miles. In line with new policies, the airline has also decided to reduce free baggage allowance in an effort to encourage people to let go of their worldly belongings.
Depth and taxes. The House has passed new legislation mandating that airlines show customers how much of their airfare is going toward federal taxes. Just in case they thought it was going toward, say, larger overhead bins or more comfy seats.
Lighter than air. Jeremy del Nero tries to comply with AA’s new policies by ditching his steamer trunks and traveling the world with Ogio’s Newt 13 backpack instead. The bag was reported to be so light that it floated away into the space-time continuum, where it was eventually found by Jesse on his way back from investigating the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
